On April 13, 2021, I visited some of the best places to visit in Hyderabad in Summer i.e., Hussain Sagar and Lumbini Park. I visited Tank Bund Road too which is considered as one of the long drive places in Hyderabad.
Why Hussain Sagar can be considered as one of the historical places in Hyderabad?
Hussain Sagar is not only one of the best places to visit in Hyderabad but it can also be considered as one of the historical places in Hyderabad because it was built by the fourth ruler of the Golconda Kingdom Ibrahim Quli Qutb Shah in 1563. It was named after Master of Architecture Hussain Shah Wali.
Lumbini Park to buddha statue at Tank Bund
People who visit Tank Bund i.e. Hussain Sagar will always desire to visit the Buddha statue located at the center of the lake. In 1992, it was added to one of the best tourist places in Hyderabad. It is the largest monolithic statue of Gautam Buddha in the country.
Under the guidance of Ganapati Stapathi, it was carved out of a single granite rock by 40 sculptures. The height of the statue is 17 meters whereas, its weight is 320 tons.

The one who wants to visit the statue has to take the service of boating facilities available at Lumbini Park which is located adjacent to the Hussain Sagar.
From the Tank Bund road, the Buddha statue is visible as a statue only whereas, when one visit it, many sculptures can be seen at the basement of the statue.
Entry fee of Lumbini Park and boating charges at Tank Bund
The entry fee of Lumbini Park which is spread over 7.5 acres is Rs. 20 for adult whereas, the boating charges is Rs. 50. One of the attractions is water fall at Lumbini Park.
There is also greenery and benches to relax and spend awesome evening in front of the lake.
