Almost all sectors in the world got affected by the outbreak of the COVID 19 pandemic. Education Sector in India also does not remain untouched.
Due to the pandemic, many educational institutions including schools and colleges were forced to shut down, exams were canceled and classes moved online.

Students
Students are in confusion state over the reopening of educational institutes, schedule of the examination and grading system.
In the case of school education, most of the states in India promoted students without even conducting the examination. However, some of them are not satisfied with the evaluation system. In most cases, marks were awarded based on internal assessment test marks.
Final year degree and PG students are confused over the schedule of examination. What after the final examination? This question is also increasing anxiety among them as pandemic has left a huge impact on the job market.
Teachers
School teachers or faculties of the colleges are in a state of dilemma. On one hand, in most cases, they are not getting their full salaries which they used to draw before the lockdown, on the other, they cannot change the sector due to less jobs in the market.

They are left with two options either to shut down educational institutes or wait for the situation to become normal.
Big educational institutions can wait for the situation to turn normal as they have sufficient capital to pay at least some percent of salaries to staff. However, schools with low budgets may be forced to shut if the government does not provide some kind of package.
Parents
Parents are one of the worst affected stakeholders of the education sector. On the one hand, due to pandemic, many of them either lost jobs or facing pay cuts, on the other, they have to pay hiked school fees.
As some schools have decided to start classes online, parents are forced to buy gadgets such as laptop or desktop etc. If a family has more than one kid, they have to buy separate gadgets for different students.
Conventional classes to online class: Negative impacts
Due to online classes, students have to sit infront of system or laptop for hours. It will not only impact their eyesight but also affect their overall health.
Students will be deprived of sport and physical education due to online education.
Way forward:
In the present situation, reopening schools is very risky as making students to follow physical distancing norms is not easy.
Online education is the best option, however, the live session is not a feasible solution. Rather, management can consider sending recorded videos.
Recorded videos will ensure that students can watch them at their convenient time. It will also remove the need to purchase multiple gadgets.
In order to clear doubt, one live session per week can be scheduled.
