Rashida Jones sets to become MSNBC President – Know about news channel

Rashida Jones is all set to become the next president of MSNBC. She will take the charge on February 1, 2021 after the current president, Phil Griffin steps down in the month of January.

Griffin has been the president of MSNBC since 2008. He held the post during the administration of two Presidents of US, Barack Obama (Democrat) and Donald Trump (Republican).

Currently, Jones is working as the senior vice president at MSNBC and NBC news. She played key role in the recent coverage including the pandemic, US Presidential elections etc.

Till now no statement has been released by Jones.

It is an American news channel with headquarters at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, New York City. It is the part of the NBCUniversal News Group which was founded on July 19, 2012. The group also has other news channels including CNBC, Noticias Telemundo and Sky News.

The group is owned by Comcast Corporation.

MSNBC provides coverage provided by NBC news, a new division of the News Group. Apart from it also provide views on current issues.
