TS PGECET Counselling through GATE; Scholarship

TS PGECET Counselling through GATE gives an opportunity to students to take admission into M.Tech course in the colleges of Telangana State (TS).

Students who want to take admission into universities or colleges of TS through GATE have to first qualify the exam. Then, they have to wait for the notification.

Osmania University (OU), Convener of Telangana State Post Graduate Engineering Counselling (TS PGEC) issues notification for registration.

Note: The university conducts counselling on the behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE).

Registration for TS PGECET Counselling through GATE

Once OU releases registration notification, candidates have to register online on the TS PGEC website. In 2019, the registration fee was Rs. 600 for General Candidates and Rs. 300 for SC/ST candidates.

After registration, candidates need to wait for Counselling notification. In counseling notification, OU will disclose the schedule.

TS PGECET Counselling through GATE

During the counseling, candidates who qualified GATE will get preference.

PGECET candidates will get seats only after all GATE qualified candidates participating in the couselling get admission.

Scholarship for TS PGECET student

GATE qualified students who take admission into M.Tech may get financial assistance (scholarship). However, it is better to check with the college in which you are interested to take admission.

Students who qualify TS PGECET and not GATE are not eligible for the AICTE stipend. However, they may get stipend through the TEQIP fund. As it is not mandatory to provide stipend through the TEQIP fund, it is better to check with the colleges in which you are interested to take admission.

Last, year, Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (CBIT) declared that students who cleared the GATE 2019 and took admission into the institute are eligible to get Rs. 5000 per month or Rs. 60000 per annum in addition to the AICTE/MHRD stipend provided to the GATE qualified students.

The institute had also decided to provide scholarships to candidates who secured rank 1-800 in TS PGECET 2019 and took admission in CBIT.
