Students who have qualified TS PGECET or GATE and seeking admission into M Tech colleges located in Hyderabad and other cities of Telangana State are required to apply for online certificate verification till 30th November 2020.
According to the revised schedule of M Tech admission, list of registered candidates will be displayed on 2nd December 2020.
Details of courses in M Tech colleges in Hyderabad, other cities in TS
As candidates have to exercise their web option on 3rd and 4th December 2020, it is essential for them to know the list of M Tech colleges in Hyderabad and other cities of the State, intake type, tuition fee and other details. These details can be obtained from the list released by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE).
It is essential for the candidates to check the details of the college and course. GATE qualified candidates must give special attention to intake type. There are three intake types.
- Regular with AICTE Fellowship (REG)
- Self Finance with AICTE Fellowship(SF)
- Self Finance without AICTE Fellowship(SNS)
If GATE qualified candidates take admission in REG and SF intake type course, they will be eligible to get AICTE fellowship. However, course with SNS intake type will not get the fellowship.
As per the official notification, GATE and GPAT candidates are not eligible for reimbursement of tuition fee.

Why you want to take admission into M Tech colleges
Every candidate who is seeking admission into M Tech colleges must ask himself/herself one question, “Why I am taking admission?”
The most probable answer to the question can be
- Looking for campus placement
- Want to join teaching profession
- Interested in research activity
- Preparing for government jobs
- Willing to settle in abroad.
If someone is looking for campus recruitment, then pursuing M Tech is the good option, however, it should be done from colleges with satisfactory on-campus placement records for postgraduates.
It will be the right decision to join M Tech course, if they want to join teaching profession.
Those who are interested in research activities must consider doing M Tech from the most reputed universities in the country. They should consider IITs, IIIT, NITs, etc.
Students who want to join government service must focus on competitive examinations of the post rather than taking admission into postgraduate education as eligibility for most of the government posts will be graduate in Engineering.
If someone is willing to settle in foreign countries such as Canada, the US, Australia, etc., then taking admission into M Tech colleges will be ok as it will improve their chances to get Permanent Residency in other nations. Such candidates must consider pursuing postgraduate education from the dream country as it will further improve their chances to get PR. However, candidates who lack financial support can join post-graduation course in India.
